LIVING AS A BACHELOR – SIMPLE ITEMS THAT DISPLAY CHARACTER

You don’t have to care about the details but you should.  Because if you have followed what we have to say, you will definitely have company over.  And once you have said company over, you’ll need to learn how to impress.  So take notice to these items and she’ll definitely take notice of you.

AN APPARATUS THAT MAKES COFFEE

If you’re lucky enough to have an espresso machine at home, then please invite us over. If not, a solid French press will more than do the trick. You can buy coffee beans anywhere, your local grocery store, the corner Starbucks, and even some other more boutique coffee shops. If you have a grinder at home, then do yourself a favor and buy whole bean, it’ll preserve freshness. If not, then ask to have your beans grounded for you.

TWO TYPES OF WINE GLASSES

A set for when you want white wine and a set when you inevitably crave red wine.   You don’t necessarily need glasses specifically for pinot noir or cabernet sauvignon, but you need a set that at least differentiates the two colors of wine. Top tip, smaller wine glasses for your white wine, and bigger wine glasses for your red wine.

RESPECTABLE SILVERWARE

If you cut your red meat with a butter knife then stop reading right this moment and contact us right now, your life is in trouble. It doesn’t matter how expensive the ingredients are or how well you’ve cooked your dish, if you’re serving your meal without respectable silverware then it has all gone to waste. Please.

A SET OF NEUTRAL COLORED CUPS

You’re not in college anymore so stay away from plastic cups. Drive yourself to Ikea and pick up six neutral colored ceramic cups and voila, you can be taken much more seriously now! While you’re at it, pick up some ordinary glasses too, the more ordinary the better. These are for those times you want to serve her orange juice in the morning. Thank us later.
